Kebetkache Women Development & Resource Centre, through its Leadership School, offers training programmes which focus on leadership-orientated development. The school provides a platform to expand the capacity of individuals for effective leadership roles and processes and also leadership development – which in turn enhances the organisation’s capacity to enact basic leadership tasks, including setting direction, creating alignment and maintaining commitment.
The Leadership School has been running for seven years unimpeded and has graduated over 250 persons. Kebetkache’s strategy of implementing programmes from the community level to the state, national and international levels makes the school accommodate persons from all walks of life. Together with the communities that annually benefit from the students' Community Development Services (CDS), the leadership school experience has expanded professional development to a number of societal strata. The school has lecturers across different career professions: the academics, businesspeople and entrepreneurs, development experts, community and religious leaders, etc.
The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development/KEBETKACHE leadership training programmes focus on both leader development (expanding the capacity of individuals for effective leadership roles and processes) and leadership development (expansion of organisations’ capacity to enact basic leadership tasks, including setting direction, creating alignment and maintaining commitment).
The Leadership School is set up to train leaders by attempting to unravel the complexity of leadership and offer a framework that will help people become great leaders. The school is meant for people who are motivated to become leaders and want the tools to become dynamic, strategic, and visionary leaders that will transform organisations and nations.
